Fishing Boats for Hire

Charter the best fishing boats in Sydney with VIP Boat Hire.

We currently have two fishing boats available for hire: the BOAT SEVEN and our Australia Day Boat. The BOAT SEVEN is able to accommodate up to 68 guests, and our Australia Day Boat can accommodate up to 78 guests.

Whichever one you choose, rest assured that each one comes with a variety of amenities to help you stay comfortable and entertained on your fishing trip.

Fishing in Sydney Harbour

Sydney Harbour is the perfect place for recreational fishing. It’s got great fishing spots as well as a variety of fish to catch.

The Best Fishing Spots

For those that want to relax, a couple of good fishing spots are the Beulah Street Wharf and the Blues Point Reserve. From both locations, you’ll have a beautiful view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.

However, you have to be willing to catch and release at these locations. It will be best to go to the Beulah Street Wharf at night and to the Blues Point Reserve in the afternoon for the best fishing experiences.

For those looking for a satisfying catch, there are several spots like Washaway Beach, Dobroyd Reef, near Collins Beach, Camp Cove, and so many more.

Fish to Catch in Sydney Harbour

At Sydney Harbour, you’ll be able to catch a variety of fish:

  • Salmon
  • Yellowtail
  • Squid
  • Snapper
  • Red Rock Cod
  • Australian Bass

These are just some of what you might catch. If you have a particular fish you want to catch, you can ask your skipper, and they can help you plan your trip for the most ideal fishing spots.

Perfect for Vacations and Events

You could take your dad out to Sydney Harbour to do some fishing on Father’s day, go on a fun trip with your team from work, or just relax with your loved ones.

A relaxing fishing trip through Sydney Harbour is the perfect way to spend your vacation, hang out with friends, or celebrate an event.

The BOAT SEVEN has an hourly rate of $479 per hour while our Australia Day Boat costs $278 per hour. There are also wharf fees and additional costs should you avail of our BYO charter amenities and a wait staff.

If you don’t want to bother with preparing food for your trip, you can leave it to us. We provide catering services and offer a variety of different menus.

Why Choose VIP Boat Hire

VIP Boat Hire will make sure you have what you need for the best recreational fishing experience. Cruise through Sydney Harbour’s waters on our boat rentals and reel in your catch in comfort and style.

We also have boats suited for other activities. If you’d like, you can check out our BBQ boats and our overnight boats.

What should I wear?

Generally, you’ll be out of the water while fishing, but it’s advisable to wear something you won’t mind getting wet. Swimming attire would be great to have in case you want to dive in.

It’s not prohibited, but we would advise against wearing heels while fishing. Short heels are alright, but we’d still recommend you use footwear that makes it easier to stay balanced in case you catch a particularly strong fish.

Will rain affect my fishing trip?

Unless you decide that you don’t want to fish while it rains, your fishing trip will likely go as planned. In fact, it might even help! It’s unclear why, but many anglers tend to catch more fish during cloudy or rainy weather.

That said, rain isn’t exactly conducive to a relaxing time. So if your goal is to have a calm trip rather than the satisfaction of a good catch, then that’s something you will want to consider.

Can we check the boats?

We’d be glad to show you our fishing boats for hire. While inspecting them, you can ask us about the fees involved or clarifications on our services.
